Have or get something done is when another person does the job for you, it means you don't do the action. 

to use get or have in both cases are correct, however we use have when are negative experiences.

For example: I have my cellphone stolen. 

We usually use get, when we are in informal contexts, for example when you are with your friends. If you are in formal contexts, the best thing is use have. 

For example: I get my hair cut.

HAD/ GET + OBJECT+ VERB PARTICIPLE = Have something done 

Jane had the walls painted 

  1. We can conjugate all the tenses with have or get, for example:
  • I will get my computer repaired
  • you should have the windows cleaned

2. On the other hand, we can make questions as where should I have my hair cut?  or have you ever had professional photos taken? 

3 tenses:

Present simple: I have my hair cut once a month.

past simple: I got my nails done 

Present continuous: She is having her shoes repaired 

Present perfect: I have gotten my houserepairs made 

past perfect: I hadn't had my hair dyed before

Future will: I will have my door changed 

future going to: She is going to get the microsoft programs installed
